NibScheduling

Scheduling Ghost posts from Android

Nib uses Ghost's own scheduling. You pick the date and time on the phone, Nib sends the post to your site with that publish time, and your site publishes it. Your phone does not need to be on, online or even yours by then.

How it goes

  1. Write the post as usual

Title, images, links and tags work the same. A scheduled post is an ordinary post with a future publish time.

  2. Choose Schedule instead of Publish

Pick a day and a time. Nib reads the time in your phone's time zone and turns it into one exact moment before sending it to Ghost.

  3. Find it under Scheduled

The timeline has a Scheduled filter. Until the post goes out you can edit it or move it back to drafts.

Which time zone counts. Yours, on the phone. If you are in Warsaw and pick 9:00, the post goes out at 9:00 Warsaw time. Ghost Admin shows the same moment in the time zone set for your site, so the clock there can read differently.

Why do it from a phone

Check the queue from anywhere

You want to confirm tomorrow's post is queued at 11pm from bed, without opening a laptop.

Edits leave the body alone

Change the time or the title of a scheduled post written in Ghost Admin, and Nib sends only what you changed.

Pairs with newsletters

A scheduled post can go to your newsletter at the moment it publishes.

Does not depend on the app

The schedule lives on your Ghost site. Uninstall Nib the same evening and the post still goes out.

Scheduling is part of Nib Pro

Writing, drafts, publishing now and the offline queue are free. Pro covers the workflows around publishing, never publishing itself or access to your own posts.
