What Nib needs from your Ghost site
Ghost 5 or newer, reachable over HTTPS, and an Admin API key you can create. Self-hosted Ghost and Ghost(Pro) work the same way. Nib does not ask which one you run.
This page lists what has been checked. If your setup is missing, it most likely works. Tell me either way and I will add it.
Requirements

| HTTPS | Release builds refuse plain HTTP. An Admin API key sent unencrypted is a key you have given away. |

| The Admin API reachable from a phone | A login in front of your site (Cloudflare Access, basic auth, an IP allowlist, a VPN) blocks the request before Ghost sees it. |

Optional: Ghost 6 features
Three features need more than the Admin API key. When your site cannot use one, Nib says why on that screen, and the rest of the app works as usual.

Staff access token. You copy it from your own profile in Ghost Admin. It is a different key from the Admin API key of an integration, even though the two look alike. Nib asks for it in Settings.

About post bodies. Ghost converts a post body when it saves it and returns something different when you read it back. An app that assumes it can round-trip a post it did not write will flatten your headings, lists and cards. Nib compares before it sends. When it cannot reproduce a body exactly, it sends only what you changed (a title, a tag, a schedule) and leaves the body alone. That makes a quick edit from the phone safe on a post you wrote in Ghost Admin.
